NOTIFICATION

Shillong, February 20, 2015: The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills has informed that the State Government has issued a notification that all events falling under the purview of the Meghalaya Taxation Act including fetes, melas, circus, shows, raffles etc., also inclusive of such events as games, sports, music or dramatic performances organized by any organization registered under the Societies Registration Act shall acquire tax clearance certificate from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes prior to submission of necessary application for permission from District Administration and failure to furnish the same will amount to rejection, cancellation of permission for any such events.
