REGISTRATION OF PET DOGS

The Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board has informed all residents within the Shillong Municipal Area to register their pet dogs with the Municipal Board and to obtain dog tags on payment of fees of Rs. 200/- only. All pet owners are to ensure that their dogs are not straying in public places/roads. Dogs found without tags will be treated as strays and necessary action will be taken as per Municipal Act.

LOK SABHA SPEAKER VISITS SHILLONG

Shri Om Birla, Speaker, Lok Sabha today on his maiden visit to Shillong addressed the Members of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly at the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Building, Rilbong. The programme was attended by Shri Conrad K. Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Prestone Tynsong, Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Metbah Lyngdoh, Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Dr. Mukul Sangma, Leader of Opposition and Members of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. Later, the Speaker, Lok Sabha accompanied by the Chief Minister, Speaker Meghalaya Legislative Assembly and Cabinet Ministers visited the construction site of the New Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Building at Mawdiangdiang.
