TOURISM DEPARTMENT WEBSITE LAUNCHED

Meghalaya Minister for Tourism, Mr. Conrad K Sangma today formally launched the official website of the Meghalaya Tourism Department at the conference hall of the National Informatic Centre (NIC), Shillong in the presence of the Commissioner & Secretary, Tourism Department, Mr. P W Ingty, Director, Tourism Department, Mr. T Dkhar, State Informatic Officer, Mr. Timothy Dkhar, officials of the Tourism Department, Tour Operators, Hoteliers besides others.

In his speech, Mr. Sangma lauded the effort of the officers and staff of the Tourism Department and NIC to bring out the website. He also hope that with the launching of the new website the Tourism sector in the State will boom. He further stated that the new website is very well structured compared to the previous website, adding that the information regarding tourism can be easily access. He also said that website will act as the connectivity device to the stakeholders in tourism sector which will increase tourist flow to the State.

Others who spoke on the occasion included Commissioner & Secretary, Tourism Department, Mr. P W Ingty, Director, Tourism Department, Mr. Tining Dkhar, State Informatic Officer, Mr. Timothy Dkhar and Tourist Officer, Ms. D Syiem.
