DEAD BODY FOUND

Shillong, February 5, 2013: The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills has informed that on 2.2.2013, one unidentified male dead body which seems to be of a tribal and aged about 35-40 years, swarthy complexion, medium built, height 5’2” wearing yellow colour long sleeves shirt, black long pant in a highly decomposed state was found floating on the river Umiam (Shella). The dead body was removed to Shillong Civil Hospital and kept at Morgue Room.

INSPECTION OF ELECTION EXPENDITURE

Shillong, February 5, 2013: The Sub-Divisional Officer (Election) Mairang has informed that Mr. Manzoor Ahli Ansari, Expenditure Observer for West Khasi Hills District has arrived at Mairang, Circuit House and can be contacted at Telephone numbers 03657-293406, 03657-293402, 03657-293403 and 9630183569.

Mr. Ansari has also notified the schedule for Inspection of the Election Expenditure maintained by the candidates in connection with the Election 2013. The first round of inspection will be held at office of the Treasury Officer, Mairang on 13th February 2013 for both 30- Mairang (ST) and for 31- Mawthadraishan (ST) Assembly Constituencies. The second round of Inspection will be on 17th February 2013 and third round of inspection on 21st February 2013 for both 30- Mairang (ST) and for 31- Mawthadraishan (ST) Assembly Constituencies at the Office of the Treasury Officer, Mairang.

All candidates are required to produce the register on daily expenditure maintained by them as per the dates mentioned.

ACTION AGAINST PRESIDING AND POLLING OFFICER

Shillong, February 5, 2013: The District Election Officer, West Jaintia Hills District has informed to all Presiding and Polling Officers that those who failed to attend election training stern action will be taken against them as per section 134 of the Representation Act 1951. This is the final information to all concerned Presiding Officers and Polling Officers.

APPLICATION INVITED

Shillong, February 5, 2013: The Veterinary Council of India invites application for Entrance Examination for filling up 15 percent of total number of seat from Indian nationals to be filled on merit in different colleges for admission to 1st Year BVSc & AH course for the session 2013-14. Candidates should attained 17 years as on 31st December, 2012 and passed HSSLC obtaining not less that 50 percent aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English for General category and 10 percent than the prescribed for General category for SC/ST and other special category.

Bulletin of information and application form can be obtained till February 8, 2013 by post from the office of the Veterinary Council of India, ‘A’ Wing 2nd Floor, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-110066 on payment of Rs. 1550/- for general category and Rs. 800/- for SC/ST category through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Veterinary Council of India-Examination Fund, New Delhi payable at New Delhi. The bulletin and application form can also be obtained by hand from Vijaya Bank, Jail Road near MTC Bus Stand, Shillong against cash payment of Rs. 1500/- for general and Rs. 750/- for SC/ST.

Last date of receipt of application form to the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi is March 2, 2013.
