RUN FOR DEMOCRACY

The office of the Deputy Commissioner (Election) along with the office of the District Sports Officer, West Jaintia Hills organised Run for Democracy today the 20th February, 2023. The marathon was flagged off by Shri. Silvester Phanbuh, MCS Assistant Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills from Kiang Nangbah Stadium.

In the Male category Dasaman Kyndait won the first prize, Sanctify Pale and Marso Kyndait bagged the second and third prize respectively. In the female category Happiness Phawa secured the first prize and Mini Kyndait second prize. The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 7000, Rs. 5000 and Rs. 3000 respectively

MEGHALAYA GOVERNOR INTERACTS WITH OFFICERS AND STAFF OF RAJ BHAVAN, SHILLONG

To acquaint himself with the functioning of Raj Bhavan, Shillong the newly appointed Governor of Meghalaya Shri. Phagu Chauhan today met with the officers and staff members of the Raj Bhavan.

In his interactions with them, the Govenor showed keen interest to learn about the social-economic fabric of Meghalaya and the overall development status of the State. Citing the roles and responsibilities of Raj Bhavan, he urged all present to work with mutual cooperation and dedication to ensure the smooth functioning of Raj Bhavan and the overall wellbeing of the people and the state as a whole.
