Press Release No. 127/13 NOTICE Shillong, 1 March, 2013: Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board has informed the resident of Jaiaw, that dumping of garbage in and around Jaiaw area, concerning the dumping place at Jaiaw Lumpyllon, dumping place at the road to GS road near the junction with the Jaiaw main road, and dumping place at student field near Dinam Hall, is prohibited with immediate effect. All resident and shopkeepers within the area of the jurisdiction of the Jaiaw Pyllun Dorbar are hereby requested to dump their garbage in the SMB garbage vehicle that plies through the respective localities every morning. Anyone found violating the above order, shall be penalized as per provisions of the Meghalaya Municipal Act 1973 and the Municipal waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2000. |
