Press Release No. 142/13 PROGRAMME ON COOPERATIVE ENTERPRISE HELD Shillong, March 14, 2013: A one day motivational programme on “Cooperative Enterprise for a better tomorrow” was organized by the office of the Sub Registrar Cooperative Societies, Mawkyrwat at Ranikor C & RD Block on March 12, 2013 where more than 200 participants including Self Help Groups, youth, women and village council cooperative members took part. The objective of the programme is to create an awareness on the important role that cooperative plays in society and to strengthen the cooperative movement under South West Khasi Hills District. The Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Mrs. R Kharmujai was the chief guest at the inaugural function. Later in the interactive session, the participants actively sought clarifications on various issues pertaining to the improvement of cooperative societies in the rural areas for the benefit of the people for which satisfactory answers were given upon by the resource persons. |
