NOTIFICATION

The Government of Meghalaya, in its notification, has announced the date for the General Elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, 2021. This was informed by the Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, District Council Affairs Department. The last date for filing of nominations is 15th March, 2021 before 3:00 PM, date of scrutiny of nomination papers is 15th March, 2021 after 3:00 PM, last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is on 19th March, 2021, date of finalization and publication of valid nominations and allocation of symbols is on 22nd March, 2021. Poll shall take place on 12th April, 2021 from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and counting of votes will be held on 15th April, 2021.

COVID VACCINATION PROGRAMME

The Additional Medical & Health Officer, East Khasi Hills has informed that the COVID Vaccination for the elderly above 60 years of age and people between 45 and 59 years of age with comorbidities has started from the 1st March, 2021 across the District in the notified session sites. Public can register online in the Co-Win website/Arogya Setu App. On the spot registration is also available in the Covid Vaccination Centres. Vaccination will be provided free of charge at the Government Health Centres and will be on payment basis in the Private Health facilities @ Rs. 250/- per shot.
