APPEAL

In continuation to the Appeal dated 9.3.2020, it is noted with great concern that there continues to be a spread of series of false and misleading information being circulated on social media and other public platform regarding Corona Virus (COVID-19). This has created more unwanted panic and worry among the public. While it is important to stay alert and updated, it is hereby issued that strong and befitting action as per law will be taken against those who spread and cause unnecessary panic among the general public. Therefore, the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has appealed the citizens to refrain from posting any unfounded information and to adhere and comply with all Advisories issued by the Integrated District Surveillance Programme, Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya that has been widely circulated to the public.

DISTRICT EMERGENCY OPERATION CENTRE ACTIVATED IN EAST JAINTIA HILLS DISTRICT

The Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has informed that in view of the Corona virus COVID-19, a pandemic declared by World Health Organisation, the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) is activated with immediate effect until further orders. CANCELLATION OF ALL EXAMINATIONS AND INTERVIEWS

As part of precautionary measure to contain the spread of Novel Corona virus (COVID-19) and in pursuance to The Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Personnel and A.R. (A) Department has requested Deputy Commissioners of all District to cancel all examinations and interviews conducted by their respective District Selection Committees with immediate effect till 31st March, 2020.

ORDER ISSUED BY THE ADDITIONAL CHIEF SECRETARY

In pursuance of the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Personnel and A.R. (A) Department in an order issued on 23rd March, 2020 has directed all Government Servants to adhere to the regulations and all advisories of the Health and Family Welfare Department issued from time to time.

The Additional Chief Secretary informed that section 5 of the regulations states that in case the person has any such history in last 14 days and the person is asymptomatic, then the person must be kept in “stay at home” for 14 days from the day of exposure, in case the person has any such history in last 14 days and the person is symptomatic as per case definition of COVID-19, the person must be isolated in a hospital and will be tested for COVID-19 as per protocol and information of all such cases should be given to office of the District Medical & Health Officer, District Control Room of the respective District immediately.

Further, the Additional Chief Secretary informed that self declaration should be done on the portal http://meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid/login.htm, all Government employees and their family members must strictly adhere to this order and follow the regulations and also maintain social distancing and added that this order shall come into force with immediate effect and until further orders.

ORDER FOR PLYING OF PRIVATE VEHICLES

The Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya Transport Department in an order issued on 23rd March, 2020 clarified that all officials engaged in providing essential services viz. Health Services which includes Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical staff, Emergency Response (108), Staff of National Rural Health Mission, MeECL, Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, Public Work Department (PWD), Police and Armed Forces, Fire & Emergency Services, Food & Civil Supply Department, Shillong Municipal Board, Telecom, Telegraph & IT Services, Banks and ATMs, vehicles carrying essential commodities, Security forces, medical equipments & goods vehicles are allowed to utilise their private vehicles which should have a sticker clearly indicating the department to which they belong followed by the word ‘On Essential Duty’. The Commissioner and Secretary also informed that all other Government officials on duty are also allowed to utilise their private vehicles which should have a sticker clearly indicating the department to which they belong followed by the word ‘On Government Duty’.

ORDER

In pursuance of The Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Personnel and A.R. (A) Department in an order issued on 23rd March, 2020 has directed that all Government Employees with pre-existing medical conditions to be supported by Medical Certificate to stay at home under intimation to their Administrative Heads or Heads of Departments with immediate effect till 31st March, 2020.

ORDER

: In pursuance to Section 2 of The Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Personnel and A.R. (A) Department in an order issued on 23rd March, 2020 has directed that all Government Employees must be available for any emergency requirement in view of the situation arising out of COVID-19. Further, the Additional Chief Secretary directed that all Government employees should keep their mobile phones switched on and to respond to call of duty as may be required by the Government.
