TALENT SEARCH AND TRAINING

Shillong, April 15, 2011: The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports under the Talent Search and Training (TST) Scheme has invite application for desirous sports person of the state who have equaled or excellent the existing National record or is a Gold Medalist of the last National Championship conducted by the All India Federation or is a Medalist of the last Asian/ Commonwealth/Afro-Asian Games, Olympics Games or World Championship in the relevant category of Senior/Junior/Sub Junior in different sports disciplines.

Eligible person may apply in the prescribed form which will be available in the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, Shillong. Complete application should reach on April 25, 2011 at the office of Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs.

JEEVAN RAKSHA PADAK AWARD

Shillong, April 15, 2011: The Ministry of Home Affairs has invite nomination for Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards 2010. The award will be nominate in three categories, Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak, Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak, Jeevan Raksha. The award is given for meritorious acts of human nature in saving the life of a person.

Interested person may send their application in the prescribed format which will be available in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, Shillong. The last date of submission of the form is June 15, 2011. Incidents falling beyond the period of two years from the date of such incident need not apply.
