Press Release No. 261/18 SECTION 144 CRPC IMPOSED IN RI BHOI The Additional District Magistrate, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh has under Section 144 CrPC, prohibited any person, organization etc from indulging in, or resorting to, the act of poisoning of rivers, streams or any other water bodies with the explicit or implicit intension to cause wide spread/large scale destruction of aquatic life which will extent to all major and minor rivers and water bodies within the district. The order will come into force with immediate effect. |

Press Release No. 262/18 UJJWALLA DIVAS Along with the rest of the country “Ujjwalla Divas” will be observed in West Khasi Hills where the PSU oil marketing companies and distributors (OMCs) will organize a one day awareness Programme at the Community Hall Riangdo Market falling under Mawshynrut Civil Sub-Division while at Mairang the Programme will be held at U Tirot Sing Memorial Hall Pyndengumiong on 20th April, 2018 at 11:00 AM. The Initiative of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas observing “Ujwalla Divas” which is part of the “Gram Swaraj Abhiyan” by holding the LPG Panchayat in various part to make India a smokeless Country by encouraging Women folk to opt LPG cooking fuel instead of old method. This will help to empower women in kitchen by improving their life style, create a healthy environment which inturn leads to a smoke free place, area, village in particular and the nation as whole. This scheme is an expanded MPUY under Ujjwalla Plus which will allow women beneficiaries whose name is not appeared in SECC list, 2011 can also apply for connection by furnishing their SC/ST certificated, ration card, Bank Pass Book and EPIC Card. The KYC form will be available at the LPG Agencies, BDO office, Supply Branch and Headmen of various locality. |
