Press Release No. 162/14 REGISTRATION OF SHOPS AND ESTABLISHMENTS Shillong, April 23, 2014: The Labour Commissioner, Meghalaya Shillong has informed that as per section 3 of the Meghalaya Shops and Establishments Act, 2003 (Act No. 4 of 2004), hereby provides that every establishment within the State shall have to be registered under this Act and a Certificate of Registration is to be obtained from the respective District Labour Offices. Any establishment found running in contravention to the provisions of the aforesaid Act and Rules made thereunder will invite penal action. Forms and other details can be obtained from respective District Labour Offices in the District Headquarters. |
