SECTION 144 CRPC PROMULGATED

Based on the written petition of the Sordar, Warbah-Sder and Rangbah Shnong, Pyrnai to stop/restrict any kind of illegal/rampant killing of fishes or any aquatic life at Wahrew river which may lead to total eradication of aquatic life and may cause health hazards to all who depend on the river for their livelihood (either humans or aquatic life) etc, the Sub Division Magistrate, Sohra Civil Sub Division has promulgated an Order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting illegal/rampant killing of fishes/ aquatic life forms by using explosives/nets and poisons in all rivers/streams throughout Wahrew River under Sohra Civil Sub-Division, Sohra. This Order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force until further orders.
