Press Release No. 197/11 NOTIFICATION Shillong, April 25, 2011: As per notification issued by the office of the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Government of Meghalaya, white and pink taxis shall be driven by women only and is allowed to ply within the jurisdiction of Shillong Region. Further, white and green will be for local taxis plying outside Shillong and these taxis will not be allowed to ply in Shillong except for the purpose of dropping passengers from their point of origin outside Shillong. These taxis are allowed to be driven by male or female drivers. |
