RADIO BRIDGE PROGRAMME

North Eastern Service, All India Radio-Shillong in its Radio Bridge Programme will broadcast LIVE interactive discussion on the topic –“Development of Smart Cities in North East” on the 6th April, 2018 from 8:00 PM to 8:40 PM. Experts from four different AIR-stations, Dr. Toshimanen Ozukum, Additional Director, Municipal Affairs Government of Nagaland, Mr. R. L. Zidinga, Deputy Director, Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Department, Government of Mizoram, Mr. Nepram Gitkumar, Director, MAHUD, Government of Manipur and Mr. N. C. Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Smart City Ltd, Government of Tripura will take part in the discussion. Dr Moushumi Dey Chakraborty will anchor the show live. This programme will be broadcast on SW 60.36 Meters Corresponding to 4790 Khtz and on additional FM support of 100.1 Mghtz. It will also be available on AIR-Live streaming mobile app on “North Eastern Service” and on AIR-NE DTH platform.

MONITORING COMMITTEE FOR RACIAL DISCRIMINATION

A Monitoring Committee has been constituted in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for monitoring and redressal of issues and grievances relating to racial discrimination faced by the North East people residing in different parts of the country. The Members of the Committee are Sh. Satyendra Garg, JS (NE) as Chairman, while Dr. Alana Golmei, Secretary, Northeast Support Centre, New Delhi and Dr. Mizum Nyodu, Asstt. Professor, Law Faculty, Delhi University, Delhi as Members. The general public is hereby informed that any person or group of persons or communities hailing from North East who claim to be victims or have faced any act of racial abuse, racial atrocities, racial violence and racial discrimination in any part of the country, may send their complaints, suggestions, grievances at the e-mail address: ne.complaints@mha.gov.in. This was informed by the Deputy Secretary (NE-II), Ministry of Home Affairs (NE Division), Government of India.
