WHOLESALE TRADERS OPEN FOR LIFTING OF STOCKS ON THE 1ST, 2ND AND 3RD MAY,2020

In view of the curfew promulgated in East Khasi Hills District concerning the COVID-19 situation, the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued on 28th April, 2020 has directed wholesale traders of Cantonment, Mawlong Hat, Paltan Bazar, Madanrting and Happy Valley markets to keep their establishments open for lifting of stocks on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd May, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. On 1st May, 2020 the lifting of stocks will be for civil sub divisions and community and rural development blocks of East Khasi Hills District, East and West Jaintia Hills Districts, West and South West Khasi Hills Districts and their respective civil sub divisions and Ri Bhoi District. On 2nd May, 2020, lifting of stocks will be for Shillong agglomeration and its adjoining areas which includes areas under Laitumkhrah, Lumdiengjri excluding Mylliem and Mawlai Police Stations. On 3rd May, 2020, lifting of stocks will be for Shillong agglomeration and its adjoining areas which includes areas under Laban Police Station (PS) including Lawsohtun, Sadar PS, Rynjah PS including Mawpat Block and Madanrting PS excluding villages under Mylliem and Mawryngkneng Blocks.

The order stated that identified retail shops of listed zones in East Khasi Hills District and retail traders duly certified by Deputy Commissioners of East and West Jaintia Hills, West and South West Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi Districts are to specifically pick up stocks only for sale on days permitted by respective District Administrations. According to the order, lifting of stocks will be strictly regulated by Executive Magistrates stationed on site and there should be no crowding and social distancing of 1 metre is to be strictly adhered to. The order stated that registered suppliers and retailers of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department will also open for sale of livestock, poultry and pet feed.

S.K. OIL WHOLESALE TRADERS OF EAST KHASI HILLS DISTRICT

In view of the curfew promulgated in East Khasi Hills District concerning the COVID-19 situation, the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District in an Order issued on 28th April, 2020 has directed S.K. Oil wholesale traders of East Khasi Hills District to keep their establishments open on 1st and 2nd May, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. as per allotment. The order applies to identified S.K. Oil retail shops to specifically pick up stocks for sale on days permitted by the District Administration and the lifting will be strictly regulated by Inspector and Sub-Inspector of Supply stationed on site. The order also stated that there shall be no overcrowding and social distancing of 1 metre to be strictly observed at these establishments and shops.

WHOLESALE TRADERS OF PALTAN BAZAR AND JEEP STAND TO OPEN

In view of the curfew promulgated in East Khasi Hills District concerning the COVID-19 situation and in order to enable the transportation of essential commodities, the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued on 28th April, 2020 has directed wholesale traders of Paltan Bazar and Jeep Stand to conduct doorstep delivery to identified retailers in various localities. All identified wholesale traders will be open on 29th and 30th April, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. specifically for loading of essential goods to be delivered to the identified retails and the lifting will be strictly regulated by Executive Magistrates stationed on site. The order also stated that there shall be no retail sale from the wholesale traders and contravention of this order shall cause such shop to be closed. The order also mentioned that all directives and standard operating procedures of the State Government in Health and Family Welfare Department for social distancing, no spiting and respiratory etiquette are to be strictly complied with.

MOBILE PHONES AND COMPUTERS SERVICING SHOPS

In view of the curfew promulgated under Section 144 CrPC in Shillong agglomeration areas concerning the COVID-19 situation and in pursuance of the state government order issued recently, the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued on 28th April, 2020 has informed that identified shops that sell, repair and service mobile phones, computers, accessories and well as mobile phone recharging centres are allowed to open on the 30th April, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. to enable the public to avail mobile phone and computer servicing and repairs, The order stated that all advisories and protocols of the government should be strictly complied by these identified shops and customers.
