AIR INDIA TO RECRUIT AIRLINE ATTENDANTS FROM NE REGION

Shillong, May 16, 2011: In order to ensure that a fair opportunity is given to the candidates of the North Eastern Region, Air India will conduct a selection of Air Line Attendants both male and female (unmarried) for its International Sector tentatively on 3rd June, 2011 at Shillong as well as on 8th June, 2011 at Guwahati.

The eligibility criterions for the candidates are: (1) Age between 20-24 with the relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC. (2) Educational qualification 10 + 2. (3) Height minimum 160 cm (5’5”) for males and for female 157.5 cm (5’2”) with a relaxation of 2.5 cm (1”) for SC/ST and those from North Eastern States and Hilly Areas. (4) Weight in proportion to the height as per company’s prescribed standards. (5) SC/ST candidates are exempted from Registration fees.

Other information: (a) Candidate should be well groomed with clear complexion. (b) Should be fluent in English and one or more Indian languages. (c) Monthly package in excess of Rs. 40,000/- (d) All interested candidates must submit their application online by 25th May, 2011 (Wednesday) through the Air India website www.airindia.in. APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Shillong, May 16, 2011: The Ministry of Culture, Government of India invites applications for financial assistance under the scheme “Tagore Commemoration Grant Scheme (TCGS)” from interested parties/organizations, for supporting lectures, seminars, workshop, cultural shows, literary festivals, exhibition etc., organized to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
