ARMY RECRUITMENT RALLY OF WOMEN MILITARY POLICE

The Indian Army will be conducting the first ever recruitment rallies exclusively for women for enrolment into Soldier (General Duty) category as Women Military Police during the month July, 2019. Headquarter Recruiting Zone, Shillong (North East) has been nominated to conduct the rally for North East region and Kolkata Zone. Online Registration and Application is compulsory, without which the desirous candidates will not be able to participate in the rally. Online registration has already commenced and will close on 8th June, 2019. Women candidates are requested to generate their admit card after 8th June, 2019 and bring the printout of the admit card for participation during rally. JEEVAN RAKSHA PADAK SERIES OF AWARDS

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India had instituted an Award designed “Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards, 2019” for meritorious acts of humane nature in saving the life of a person in incidents like drowning, accidents, fire incidents, electrocution, landslides, animal attack and rescue operation in mines, etc. As the name of the award suggests, the award is given to a rescuer for saving someone’s life. The awards are given in three categories: (i) Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak, (ii) Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak and (iii) Jeevan Raksha Padak.
