Press Release No. 261/13 DR AMBEDKAR FOUNDATION NATIONAL ESSAY COMPITITION-2013 Shillong, May 23, 2013: Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, an autonomous body of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, invites essay entries for ‘Dr Ambedkar Foundation National Essay Competition 2013’ from students of recognized schools and colleges/ universities/ institutions. For secondary and senior secondary schools (class 9th to class 12th) the topic will be on Dr. Ambedkar- A Social Reformer either in English or Hindi in 2000 words and for colleges and universities the topic will be on Dr Ambedkar and Women Empowerment in 3500 words in Hindi or English. For schools, the first three winners will receive a cash award of Rs. 25,000/-, Rs. 15,000/- and Rs.10,000/- while for colleges, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will receive a cash award of Rs. 1,00,000/-, Rs. 50,000/-, and Rs. 25,000/- respectively.
