DRAFT PHOTO ELECTORAL ROLL PUBLISHED

Shillong, May 28, 2010: The Photo Electoral Rolls pertaining to the 1-Nartiang, 2-Jowai, 3-Raliang and 4-Mookaiaw Assembly Constituencies have been published in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules 1960. A copy of the said rolls is available for inspection at the office of the Electoral Registration Officer, Jaintia Hills District, Jowai and in the Block Office of Thadlaskein/Laskein upto 5.6.2010 during office hours.

The qualifying date for the preparation of the electoral roll is on 1st January, 2010.

If with reference to the above said qualifying date, there be any claim or objection, it should be lodge on or before the 5th June 2010.

In this connection, a control room has been set up in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (Election), Jaintia Hills District, Jowai with effect from 20th May, 2010.

INVITATION FOR CLAIMS OF AMMUNITIONS BY LICENSED OWNER

Shillong, May 28, 2010: Shri. W. Nongsiej, Additional Magistrates of West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin has informed that the 9mm carbine sten machine along with 5 rounds of 9mm live cartridges in working condition were seized by the police on June 22, 2006 belonging to unidentified miscreants at Nonghyllam, West Khasi Hills District.

Therefore, licensed owner or any person or agency having proper documents relating to the aforesaid arms and ammunitions may file claim or objection to the additional Magistrate on or before June 11, 2010 during office hours. Claim or objection received after this fixed date will not be entertained and the said arms date will not be entertained and it will be accordingly auctioned to the public.

EXAMINATION OF POSTS UNDER PYKKA RESCHEDULED

Shillong, May 28, 2010: The Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, Shillong has informed that the written examination scheduled on May 29, 2010 for Supervisor cum Computer Operator, Account Assistant, Office Assistant and Data entry Operator in the State Mission Directorate PYKKA under the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs is hereby deferred to a later date due to unavoidable reasons. All candidates are requested to take note and cal letters are being issued separately.
