OBSERVATION OF 155TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF TAGORE

The Department of Arts and Culture in collaboration with ICCR, Shillong will organise programmes to observe the 155th Birth Anniversary of the Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore in Shillong on the 8 th May, 2016. A solemn procession from Jit Bhoomi to the Statue of Bard in Brookside Rilbong Shillong to pay homage to Tagore will be held at 8:00 AM which will be followed by the formal function at 5:00 PM at U Soso Tham Auditorium. Songs, dances, recitations and other forms of performances will be presented by individuals and organisations in English, Bengali, Khasi and Garo to mark the day.

NOTIFICATION

The Chief Justice, High Court of Meghalaya, Shillong has notified and constituted the Meghalaya State Judicial Academy comprising the Chief Justice as Patron-in-Chief, Justice S. R. Sen as Judge-in-Charge of the Judicial Academy. This Order issues with immediate effect. This was informed by the Registrar General, High Court of Meghalaya, Shillong.
