E-SERVICES TO BE ROLLED OUT

The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Sub-Division, Sohra will roll out the e-Services in electronic form with effects from 8th May, 2017. Initially these services will be launched i.e. issuance of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Residential and Income Certificates. The main objective of e-Services is to facilitate the citizens in availing different services provided by the office of the Sub-Divisional Office (Civil) Sub-Division, Sohra in a transparent and citizen-friendly environment. Applicants may apply from Common Service Centers (CSC), Kiosks, Internet browsing Centers, home and PFC. To improve citizens’ interface, relevant SMS will be triggered to the applicants during processing till completion of the Certificate. The Certificate issuing authority is Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Sub-Division, Sohra.

HSRP RATES REVISED

The Government of Meghalaya has notified for general information and all Government Departments that the rates of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) in the State of Meghalaya stand revised with immediate effect. Complete set of registration plates inclusive of snap lock and fixing for 2 wheelers – scooters and motor cycles will be Rs. 599/- per set. Complete set of registration plates inclusive of snap lock, 3rd Registration plates and fixing for 3 wheelers and invalid carriages will be Rs. 999/- per set and complete set of registration plates inclusive of snap lock, 3rd Registration plates and fixing for light Motor Vehicles/Passenger care, Medium Commercial Vehicles/Heavy Commercial Vehicles/Trailer/Combination will be Rs. 1458/- per set. All other terms and conditions of the Concessionaire agreement shall remain the same. This was informed by the Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Transport Department.
