ORDER UNDER SECTION 144 CRPC

The Additional District Magistrate, in-charge Pynursla Civil Sub-Division in an order issued on 8th May, 2020 under Section 144 CrPC read together with Regulation 3 of the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 has promulgated Night Curfew from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM daily with effect from 8th to 31st May, 2020 in all the villages within 5 kms from the international border pillars No.1251-1272. However, the curfew will not apply to government officials on duty, authorized VDPs and medical emergencies. The Additional District Magistrate said that the order was issued so that the pandemic of COVID-19 is contained, reduced and eliminated in Pynursla Civil Sub-Division, by way of ensuring observance of strict protocols of the advisories issued by the Government of Meghalaya in the Health and Family Welfare Department.
