WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY 2012 TO BE OBSERVED

Shillong, June 13, 2012: The Meghalaya AIDS Control Society in collaboration with Meghalaya State Legislators Forum on HIV and AIDS, Meghalaya State Transfusion Council and Licensed Blood Banks of Meghalaya will observed the World Blood Donor Day 2012 on 14th July, 2012 at Anton Hall, Laitumkhrah, Shillong from 10 am onwards.

The theme for this year is “Every Blood Donor is a Hero”. The activities for the month long campaign includes Motivational Workshop on VBD, Sensitization Training with NGOs, Inter-School Painting Competition, Inter-College Skit Competition, Panel Discussion on Importance of VBD and felicitation of voluntary blood donors and organizers.
