Press Release No. 434/05 REALLOCATION OF PORTFOLIOS The Under Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Cabinet Affairs Department has informed that the portfolios of some Ministers have been reallocated and will take charge with immediate effect. Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Donkupar Roy will take charge of Finance, Law, Power, Non Conventional Energy, Election, Revenue and Border Areas Development. Mr. J.D. Rymbai, Minister, will take charge of the Departments of Parliamentary Affairs, Taxation, Fisheries, Tourism and Stamp & Registration. Mr. Friday Lyngdoh, Minister, will take charge of the Departments of Urban Affairs, Municipal Administration, District Council Administration, Science & Technology and Home (Passport). Mr. H.D.R. Lyngdoh, Minister, will take charge of the Departments of Public Health Engineering, General Administration Department, Horticulture and Minor Irrigation. Mr. Paul Lyngdoh, Minister, will take charge of the Departments of Sports & Youth Affairs, Agriculture, Home (Jails), Home (CD & HG) and Cooperation. Mrs. D.C. Marak, Minister, will take charge of the Departments of Mining & Geology, Transport, Communication and Arts & Culture. Mr. Brening A. Sangma, Minister, will take charge of the Departments of PWD (Roads), Evaluation, Housing and Weights & Measures and Mr. Shitlang Pale, Minister, will take charge of the Departments of PWD (Building), Food & Civil Supplies, Printing & Stationery and Relief & Rehabilitation. The portfolios of other Ministers will remain unchanged and those not allotted will remain with the Chief Minister. |
Press Release No. 435/05 PMRY SCHEME FOR UMEMPLOYED YOUTH The Office of the General Manager, District Industries Centre, East Garo Hills District, Williamnagar has invited application in prescribed format from educated unemployed youth of the District for providing financial assistance under the Prime Minister Rozgar Yozana (PMRY) Scheme for the year 2005-2006. Last date of submission of application form is June 24, 2005. Detailed information and application form can be obtained from the office of the General Manager, District Industries Centre, East Garo Hills District, Williamnagar. |
Press Release No. 436/05 SECTION 144 CrPC PROMULGATED The District Magistrate, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh has promulgated an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting any person or persons from selling, purchasing and carrying of petrol in jerry cans or bottles throughout the District. This order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force until further orders. |
