Ioolin Kyndait of Sohmynting village under Thadlaskein Block Development, Jaintia Hills District for replacement of drought cattle lost due to fire incident which occurred on March 26, 2010. |

Press Release No. 272/10 NATIONAL YOUTH AWARD 2009-10 Shillong, June 22, 2010: Nominations are invited to the Government of India National Youth Award for individuals and Voluntary Organisations 2009-10. The awards are conferred upon young men and women between the ages of 18-35 years. The impact of the service rendered by him or her in person should be clearly identifiable, preferably quantitatively and one Voluntary Organization who has rendered outstanding service in the field of National development and social service for the least three years and which is likely to remain engaged in the relevant field for another two years after conferment of the award. Preference will be given to those voluntary organisations which are run by the Youth and for the Youth. Eligible persons may apply in the prescribed form available in the office of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Shillong enclosing a bio data with a brief write up of achievements recorded by the person concern along with documents supporting their claim. Applications should reach the Office of the Director, Sports and Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, Shillong on or before 16th July, 2010. |
