LAUNCHING OF SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEMES

Shillong, June 23, 2015: The Director, Institutional Finance & ex-officio Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Finance (EA) Department has informed that the social security schemes namely, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and the pension scheme, Atal Pension Yojana (APY) was launched recently by the Prime Minister of India.

All government employees and various groups associated with the Departments like MNREGA workers, Aanganwadi, SHGs, farmers, teachers, industrial workers etc are requested to subscribe to these schemes which are at a very affordable cost and extended through a systematic bank account based platform. The people can approach the bank branches in which they have account in order to subscribe to the schemes.
