The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District in an Order issued on 2nd July, 2020 has informed that shops located at Jhalupara, Mawbah and Barapathar area under Zone-IV / Jhalupara Outpost of Lumdiengjri PS operating from fixed premises are no longer permitted to open on daily basis but shall open only as per schedule w.e.f 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Shops with serial number 1 & 3 will open on 3rd , 7th , 9th , 11th , 13th , 15th and 17th July, 2020 while shop number 2 & 4 will open on 4th , 6th , 8th , 10th , 14th, 16th and 18th July, 2020. In another Order, the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that shops at Khasi Market located below Jaiaw Taxi Stand, Motphran will also open as per schedule w.e.f 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Shop with serial number 5 will open on 3rd, 11th and 13th July, 2020, shop with serial number 6 will open on 4th, 6th and 14th July, 2020, shop with serial number 1 will open on 7th and 15th July, 2020, shop with serial number 2 will open on 8th and 16th July, 2020, shop with serial number 3 will open on 9th and 17th July, 2020 and shop with serial number 4 will open on 10th and 18th July, 2020. The custodian of the location, the shop owners and the customers shall strictly follow all the other conditions laid out in earlier orders, without fail and they are also to maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet, not to overcrowd in one area or shop, frequent sanitization and hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette. The shopkeepers and customers are to wear masks, which is mandatory and non-compliance will entail action of closure of the shops concerned and to cooperate with the management made by the District Administration and District Police.
