WORKSHOP ON HOLISTIC SPORTS MEDICINE HELD

Shillong, July 24, 2013: Workshop cum Clinic on Holistic Sports Medicine through Homeopathy was held for the Coaches, PTIs and members of State Sports and Youth Affairs at J N Complex, Polo Shillong on July 24, 2013.

Dr. Jatin N Valia who is the resource person in the workshop conducts interactive sessions and enlightens them on the various injuries face by every sportspersons. He also discuss at length on the significance of Homeopathy in the management and treatment of the injuries and also in the various roles of holistic therapy in sports as well as its uses for different kinds of injuries.

A two day clinic on Sports Medicine through Homeopathy will also be held on 26th and 27th July 2013 at J N Complex, Indoor Sports Hall, Polo Shillong.

HOLDING OF RALLY AND PROCESSION PROHIBITED

Shillong, July 24, 2013: The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, has promulgated an Order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting any person or group of persons from taking out rally/procession within 500 metres radius of the Meghalaya Secretariat Building, carrying of arms and other lethal weapons or any item and material having the potential to be used as weapon which can likely cause grievous injury or harm to any person.

The Order was imposed after receiving information that some organizations are planning to hold a public rally/procession to the Meghalaya Secretariat Building, which, if allowed, will cause obstruction, annoyance to the general public and may result in disturbance of the public tranquility or a riot or any affray.

This Order comes into immediate effect and shall remain in force until further orders.
