INDIAN COUNCIL OF SOCIAL WELFARE STATE BRANCH CELEBRATES ITS GOLDEN JUBILEE

The Indian Council of Social Welfare Meghalaya Branch today held its Golden Jubilee celebration at Pinewood Banquet Hall, Shillong. Shri Pravin Bakshi, Commissioner and Secretary, Social Welfare Department, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Shri D. D Shira, Director Social Welfare Department as the Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Pravin Bakshi congratulated the past and present members of the Indian Council of Social Welfare Meghalaya Chapter for their commitment and services to the welfare of the community. He lauded the luminaries of ICSW for the tremendous contribution in social welfare through the establishment of pre-school and a crèche which has benefitted the community as a whole.

During the programme, Smt. Democracy Lyngwa, Secretary ICSW, Meghalaya branch gave a brief report on the history and journey of the Indian Council of Social Welfare Meghalaya branch since its inception in 1972. As part of the celebration, various past and present members of ICSW were being felicitated during the programme.
