Press Release No. 417/11 NEW AUDITORIUM AND HOSTEL COMPLEX OF PINE MOUNT SCHOOL LAYS Shillong, August 24, 2011: Meghalaya Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma today laid the foundation stone of the new Auditorium and Hostel Complex of Pine Mount School, Shillong at the School premises in the presence of Prof. R. C. Laloo, Minister of Education and Mr. W. M. S. Pariat, Chief Secretary, Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mukul Sangma said that Pine Mount School, a premier institution of the region and founded in 1900 have been able to maintain quality education all through these years, opining that such standard could only be maintained because of the stellar role play by the teachers. While stressing that teachers play an important role in motivating, inspiring and harnessing the potentiality of students in the field of education, sports, arts and music, Dr. Sangma called upon the students to focus and concentrate in their studies, adding that the world they are facing now is very competitive and challenging.
