WAIT LISTED CANDIDATES OF DATA ENTRY OPERATOR IN PYKKA CELL

Shillong, August 27, 2012: The Director of Sports and Youth Affairs and State Mission Director, PYKKA Meghalaya, Shillong has informed that the following wait listed candidates for the post of Data Entry Operator at PYKKA Cell under the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, J N S Complex, Polo, Shillong are to report for appointment on contract within 10 days.

The wait listed candidates are Shri Risakmenleng Khongsam, Shri Ioanis Badwar, Shri Mawkordor Kharsahnoh, Shri Ivanson Snaitang, Smti Janailin Khonglah, Shri Orlanton Lyttan and Shri Rishanstar Warbah.

MEGHALAYA DELEGATION TEAM MEETING THE HOME MINISTER OF MAHARASHTRA

Shillong, August 27, 2012: Meghalaya IPR Minister, Mr A T Mondal and Urban Affairs Minister, Mrs Ampareen Lyngdoh who form part of the delegation deputed by the Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma on a goodwill mission and to instill confidence among the Meghalaya students community in Bangalore, Pune and Mumbai today wound up their visit by calling on the Maharashtra Home Minister Mr R R Patil in his office chamber in the Maharashtra Secretariat.

During the meeting, Mr A T Mondal highlighted the issues that were discussed with the students and the working community from Meghalaya in Bangalore, Pune and Mumbai and thanked the Maharashtra Government for its prompt support and assistance to the affected students of the North East by providing them with adequate security and protection during the recent mass exodus of North East students due to some threats by anti social elements.

Mr Mondal also thanked Mr R R Patil for his personal visit and review of the security measures in the affected areas and for also initiating forming of Peace Committees to re-assure the students of their safety. He said that such an effort of bringing the communities together for better understanding should continue and he assured of the support of the Meghalaya Government

Mrs Ampareen Lyngdoh informed the Home Minister that there are still some students who are still staying in the Meghalaya House Mumbai and are apprehensive of returning back to their respective hostels in Mumbai as they still feel insecure. She asked the Home Minister to intervene and facilitate their return.

Home Minister, Mr R R Patil assured the delegation that the students from Meghalaya residing in Mumbai will be safe students should return to their respective hostels and educational institution without any fear.

Patil also said that a Youth exchange programme may be thought of in the coming Ganesh Festival to create awareness among the youth about the cultural and traditional diversity of India thereby promoting the spirt of National Integration

It may be mentioned that the Home Secretary, Maharashtra, Dr Amitabh Rajan was also present during the meeting.
