Press Release No. 648/06 RICE UNDER BPL AND AAY QUOTA RELEASED The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong, has informed that rice under BPL and AAY quota is being distributed to consumers at the scale of 35kgs per BPL/AAY Family Identity Card per month at the rate of Rs.6.15 for BPL rice and Rs. 3.00 for AAY rice. Any non-supply or over charging of the rate and supply of interior quality of rice by the fair price shops dealers should be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong. |

Press Release No. 649/06 COMPUTERS DONATED Meghalaya Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. S W Rymbai donated one computer each to Umden, Umket, Nonglum, Mawtneng and Grace Upper Primary School at a simple function held Kurkalang playground, Bhoirymbong on August 28, 2006. Mr. Rymbai in is speech said that students have to be computer literate, in order to make them familiarize with its use and applications. He also informed that he has been able to provide 40 computers in his constituency. He further informed that a 33 KV sub-station will be soon set at Bhoirymbong for sufficient power supply in the area. The function was attended by school students, headmen, teachers and sordars of the area. |
