PUBLICATION OF DRAFT PHOTO OF ELECTORAL ROLLS

This is for the general information of all that the Electoral Registration Officer of the 13-Mawryngkneng (ST), 14-Pynthorumkhrah (GEN), 15-Mawlai (ST), 16-East Shillong (ST), 17-North Shillong (ST), 18-West Shillong (GEN), 19-South Shillong (GEN), 20-Mylliem (ST), 21-Nongthymmai (ST), 22-Nongkrem (ST), 23-Sohiong (ST), 24-Mawphlang (ST), 25-Mawsynram (ST), 27-Pynursla (ST) and 29-Mawkynrew (ST) Assembly Constituencies have published the Draft Photo of Electoral Rolls with reference to 1.1.2019 as qualifying date, and in accordance with Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and is available for inspection at the office of the District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong or at the Designated Polling Stations and in all the offices of the Block Development Officers during office hours on all working days. APPLICATIONS FOR EMPANELMENT OF CULTURAL TROUPE AND ARTISTS INVITED

The Bureau of Outreach and Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, has called for applications for empanelment of Cultural Troupes and Artists. The department has also revised rates for the troupes and performers per programme to almost double the earlier rates. The last date for receiving the application is September 3, 2018. The application for Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Tripura should be sent to the office of Director General North-east zone, Guwahati. Similarly the applications for Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh should be sent to Additional Director General, ROB, Imphal. The application can be obtained from employment news dated 11.08.2018. It can also be obtained from all offices of BOC and PIB in the respective states as well as downloadable from tiny.cc/Troupe.

NOTICE

The Deputy Commissioner Cum Chairman Nongstoin Town Committee West Khasi Hills District Nongstoin informed the general public that as per the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board certain guidelines has been circulated for the effective implementation of Idols Immersion as a religious practice in India. As a means of public information to all concerned religious Communities and Stakeholders under the jurisdiction of West Khasi Hills District, who intend to perform the religious rituals during puja season they are requested to seek permission from the concern Authority so that designated Idols Immersion spots can be identified and necessary guidelines be issued for Strict compliance as per the Government’s instructions. Random immersion of Idols in the water bodies like rivers and ponds are strictly prohibited without a proper permission from the competent authority.

FEES BY THE NOTARIES

The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills has directed all Notaries to charge only the minimal fees as prescribed under rule 10 of the Notaries Rules, 1956. This order has been issued in view of the complaints received by the Law Department regarding over charging of fees by the Notaries.

NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF ELECTORAL ROLL IN DRAFT

The Electoral Registration Officer of 30-Mairang (ST) and 31-Mawthadraishan (ST) Assembly Constituencies has informed that the electoral roll has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and a copy thereof is available for inspection at the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Election), I/c Mairang Civil Sub-Division, Mairang, during office hours and at all Designated Polling Stations from 1st September, 2018 to 31st October, 2018. The qualifying date for the preparation of the Electoral Roll is 01.01.2019. If, with reference to the above said qualifying date, there be any claim for the inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection to the inclusion of name or any objection to particlulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before the 31st October, 2018 in Form 6, 6A, 7, 8, 8A as may be appropriate. Every such claim or objection should either be presented in the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Election), I/c Mairang Civil Sub-Division, Mairang or to Booth Level Officers/Supervisory Officers at Designated Location (Polling Station) or sent by post to the Sub-Divisional Officer (Election), I/c Mairang Civil Sub-Division, Mairang, so as to reach the office not later than the aforesaid date.
