Press Release No. 217/21 ONLINE PHILATELY EXHIBITION HELD ON 9TH AUGUST 2021 The Department of Posts, North East Circle in association with the Department of Arts & Culture, Government of Meghalaya and North East Philatelic Society organized an Online Philately Exhibition to celebrate “Azadi Ke Amrit Mohotsav”. The Exhibition was inaugurated today by Shri. Amitabh Kharkwal, Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong. The Exhibition will continue till 15th August, 2021. Many Philatelists from North East States are participating in the exhibition and will be displaying varieties of Postage Stamps on themes like Freedom Struggle, India@75, Progress of India, etc. People can visit the exhibition at www.indiaat75ne.com and also enjoy the beauties of postage stamps. Other dignitaries present in the function include Shri K.L. Nongbri, Joint Secretary, Department of Arts & Culture, Shri Subhash Chandra Barik, Director of Postal Services, Shri K.I. Singh, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya, Shri Suman Deb, General Secretary, North East Philatelic Society and other renowned Philatelists were also present virtually. |
Press Release No. 218/21 LAUNCHING NISHTHA 2.0 Meghalaya Education Minister, Shri L Rymbui today launch the National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers for Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) 2.0 an integrated training programme for Secondary and Higher Secondary teachers of Meghalaya at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Education Research & Training, Shillong. Addressing the gathering, Shri Rymbui urged upon the teaching fraternity to take part in the online training programme which will benefit the teachers in the future, he also said that the teaching is a profession requiring specialization in terms of knowledge and skills. He further said that education has played a vital role and has contributed a lot in shaping the students and the society. He also said that one of the most important requirements to promote and strengthen education is the training of teachers who are the key resources in the reform, redirection and renewal of Education.
