Press Release No. 459/11 DRAFT ELECTRICITY SUPPLY CODE Shillong, September 12, 2011: The Secretary Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission has informed that in accordance with Section 50 of Indian Electricity Act, 2003 Meghalaya Electricity Regulatory Commission has made a Draft Electricity Supply Code to provide for recovery of electricity charges, billing of electricity charges, new connection procedure, disconnection on non-payment, restoration of supply, tampering of electrical equipments, metering and payment of electricity bills and others. The Draft Regulation is placed on the Commission’s website www.mserc.gov.in and also available with the Secretary of the Commission. Any person interested to see the Draft Regulation can approach the Secretary of the Commission on any working day. Comments on the Draft Regulation are invited within 21days of publishing of this notice and are to be sent to the Secretary of the Commission, 1st Floor, New Administrative Building, Lower Lachumiere, Shillong -793001. |
