REVISED RATES OF PETROL AND DIESEL

The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, has informed that the selling price of MS, Extra Premium, HSD and Extra Mile has been revised with effect from September 7, 2005.

As per the new rates, the cost per litre of Petrol (MS) from M/S Ashok Auto Service, Shillong is Rs. 43.13 and Rs. 44.73 for Extra Premium; at M/S Kurbah Service Station, the cost for petrol is Rs. 43.13 and Rs. 30.53 for High Speed Diesel (HSD); at M/S United Hills Service Station, Dhanketi, Shillong the price of petrol is Rs. 43.13, for Extra Premium is Rs. 44. 78 and for HSD the cost is Rs. 30.53; at M/S Mahari & Sons, Jaiaw, Shillong, the rate of MS is Rs. 43.10 and that of HSD is Rs. 30.52. At M/S. Moreland Sootink, Cherrapunji, the rate of MS is Rs. 43.11 and that of HSD is Rs. 30.52. At M/S Shillong Highway, Mawlyndep, the price of MS is Rs. 43.05 and that of HSD is Rs. 30.49. At M/S Bawri Hill Service Station, Mawlai, the price of MS is Rs. 43.10 and that of HSD is Rs. 30.52. At M/S Bawri Service Station, Dhankheti, Shillong the price of MS is Rs. 43.13 and that of HSD is Rs. 30.53 and at M/S. Abigail Service Station, Laitkor, Shillong the price of MS is Rs. 43.12 and that of HSD is Rs. 30.53 per litre.

Any over-charging of the above mentioned rates by agents of the company may be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply) by giving full details and particulars.

APPLICATION INVITED FOR NATIONAL BRAVERY AWARD

The Meghalaya State Branch of the Indian Council for Child Welfare invites application from children below the age of 18 years for considering the National Bravery Awards 2005. The main objective of the scheme is to give due recognition to children who perform acts of bravery with a view to inspire other children to follow their example. The deed should be “an act of spontaneous selfless service in the face of risk of life or threat of physical injury and or an act of courage and daring against a social evil/crime. The date of incidents should have been between 1st July, 2004 and June 30th 2005.
