TRAINING ON ELECTORAL REGISTRATION

Shillong, September 13, 2012: The Deputy Commissioner (Election) West Khasi Hills Nongstoin, organized a training Programme on 13th September,2012 in TRYSEM Hall D.C Office Nongstoin, for Booth Level Officers (B.L.Os), 32 Nongstoin (ST), 33 Rambrai Jyngam (ST) and 34 Mawshynrut (ST) Assembly.

Mr. S. Kharlyngdoh, IAS Deputy Commissioner West Khasi Hills was the chairman. The training stressed the BLOs on the importance and benefits from electoral registration. He said that the main duties of BLO is to motivate and facilitate the citizen for participation in the Electoral process particularly Registration to guide and assist the eligible citizens in filling up forms 6, 7, 8 & 8A to report the ERO on cases of new eligibility, death and shifting of electors and to meet the Sordars, Headman and the residents of the polling area for discussion on electoral issues.

Shillong, September 13, 2012: The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong has informed that the stretch from Jaiaw Mawbynna towards Jingthangbriew is declared One Way zone from 8am to 8 pm with effect from 14th September, 2012.
