CONTAINMENT ORDERS

Due to the detection of positive COVID-19 cases/high risk contacts which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of health of general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in orders issued has declared the house No. 29 of Smti. A Syiemlieh, Nongrimbah, the outhouse of Brightwell Bungalow Quarter No.4 opposite to Lady Hydari Park and the house and compound of Amila Sawkmie at Oxford Hills as micro-containment areas so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the site. The orders state that no persons are allowed to move into the containment areas and inhabitants within these areas shall not move out, besides all inhabitants within the containment areas shall strictly remain inside their homes. Respective Incident Commanders of these areas shall supervise and monitor strict compliance of the orders. Any violation of the orders will entail prosecution under the penal provision of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and IPC.

CONTAINMENT ORDERS LIFTED

Based on the contact tracing status and testing of the high risk contacts and the reports received thereof, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in orders issued has lifted the containment orders for the house of Shri L. Lyngdoh Mawphlang (tenant) in the building of K.C Bairo, Lawsohtun Block-5, the apartment of Mr. P. N Jaiswal, tenant of L.B Rapthap, Bishnupur, the house of Gopal Thapa, Nepali Compound, Rilbong, the building of Mrs. D. Wahlang opposite to ‘Sterian Rynjah Store’, New Kench’s Trace, Bishnupur and the house of Mrs. Champa Das Gupta, Rilbong with immediate effect.
