AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON NPR BIOMETRIC ENROLMENT

An awareness programme on NPR Biometric Enrolment/Aadhaar was held on 17th September, 2016 at H. Elias Higher Secondary School, Nongthymmai. The programme was organized by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District in collaboration with the Directorate of Census Operation, Meghalaya which was attended by members of the Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong, Nongthymmai Pyllun, Seng Samla and Seng Longkmie from each Dorbar Shnong of the 13 Dorbar within Nongthymmai census town. The resource person, Shri J. Swer, Statistical Investigator presented and highlighted about NPR and how Aadhaar is generated for the residents of Meghalaya through Biometric Enrolment under NPR. He also stressed on the benefit of having an Aadhaar number and clarified all the doubts and queries raised by the participants with regard to NPR and Aadhaar.
