RECRUITMENT RALLY IN ASSAM RIFLES

An Assam Rifles Recruitment Rally will be held at Jowai for all Districts of Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland from 8th to 13th October, 2007 for enrolment of male candidates between the age of 18 and 23 years (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC) and ex-servicemen for the posts of Rifleman (General Duty) Driver (Matric passed), Clerk (10+2 passed with typing and having knowledge of computers), Plumber (Matriculation with Diploma/ITI certificate), Electrician (Matric passed with ITI Certificate in the grade), Lineman Field (Matric with Diploma/ITI certificate in the grade), Electrical Fitter Signal (EFS) (Matric passed with ITI Certificate in the grade), Radio Mechanic (Matric with English, Mathematics and Science with Physics), Pharm (Matric with 3 years diploma in Pharmacy), Svy JCO (Matric and diploma in civil engineering from a recognized for Surveyor), PA (10 + 2 passed with short hand speed of 80 words per minute and type writing speed of 40 words per minute), Safai (Class VIII passed), Barber (Class VIII passed), Carpenter (Class VIII passed) and Tailor (Class VIII passed).

For Ex-servicemen (Group C), recruitment will be held for the posts of Rifleman (General Duty) Driver, Clerk, Operation Room Assistant, Plumber, Electrician, Lineman Field, Electrical Fitter Signal (EFS), Radio Mechanic, Pharm. For Ex-servicemen (Group D), recruitment will be held for the post of Cook, Safai, Washerman, Barber, Equipment Boot Repairer (EBR), Carpenter and Tailor.

Eligible and willing candidates are required to bring to the rally site prescribed application form along with certificates, testimonials in original to be produced before the board on the above mentioned date.
