PUBLICATION OF ELECTORAL ROLLS

The Electoral Registration Officer, 32-Nongstoin (ST) Assembly Constituency, 33-Rambrai Jyrngam (ST) Assembly Constituency and 34-Mawshynrut (ST) Assembly has notified that the electoral rolls has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, and a copy thereof is available for inspection at the office of the Deputy Commissioner West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin, and at every Polling Station during office hours and the qualifying date for the preparation electoral rolls is 1.1.2018. Any claim for the inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection at the inclusion of name or any objection to particulars in any entry, should be lodged w. e. f 27th September 2017 to 31st October, 2017 in form 6, 7 or 8 as may be appropriate.

SWACHH BHARAT DIWAS AT NONGPOH

The Meghalaya State Water and Sanitation Mission – SBM (G) in collaboration with the District Water and Sanitation Mission, Ri Bhoi District will organize the state level programme on ‘Swachh Bharat Diwas’ on 2nd October 2017. The programme will start with the mass rally at 10 am from MUDA Complex, Nongpoh to Pahamsyiem Mini Stadium followed by a function and exhibition in which Dr. C. Lyngdoh, Minister, PHE etc will be the Chief Guest. Various entertainment and DJ in the evening will be other highlights of the day, informed EE, PHE, Nongpoh Division cum Member Secretary DWSM, Ri Bhoi District. He therefore requested the shopkeepers and shop owners to take the responsibility to clean their own area as a token of contribution towards the campaign.

VIDYALAYA MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE HELD

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Niangbari, Ri Bhoi District, under the Chairmanship of Shri. C.P. Gotmare, Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh held its Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) in the school premises on 27th September, 2017 to discuss on various issues, namely, water supply, electricity, setting up of service centre, school playground, transport facility for students, disaster managements training, Aadhaar cards to students of class VI, IX, XI and teachers, approach road of the school from the National Highway and health related issue of the students. The meeting was also attended by Shri. V. Rani, MDC Jirang, Shri. V.S. Nongbet, DSEO, Dr. P. Pohchen, DMHO, Shri. S.S. Bamon, Principal Ri Bhoi College, Smti. K. Sagarika, Principal JNV among others. The management of the school has also informed that admission for class VI for the academic year 2018 would be up to 25/11/2017 and can also be applied online while the entrance test for the same is on 8/4/2018. DRAFT PUBLICATION OF ELECTORAL ROLL

The Electoral Registration Officer of 5- Sutnga Saipung (ST) Assembly Constituency and 6-Khliehriat (ST) Assembly Constituency has informed that the list of amendments to the Draft Electoral Roll for the 5-Sutnga Saipung (ST) Assembly Constituency and 6-Khliehriat (ST) Assembly Constituency has been prepared with reference to January 1st, 2018 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. A copy of the said Roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and is available for inspection during office hours.
