BHARAT NIRMAN CAMPAIGN INAUGURATED

The “Bharat Nirman Awareness Campaign” was inaugurated today at ICAR Auditorium, Umroi by Director ICAR, Mr.K.M.Bajarbaruah. The campaign which will go on for five days is being organized by the Press Information Bureau(PIB), Shillong in association with Directorate of Field Publicity, DAVP and Prasar Bharti. The objective of the campaign is to generate awareness among the people the Flagship programmes initiated by the Central Government. The programmes under Bharat Nirman are Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan(SSA), Right to Information Act(RTI), National Rural Health Mission(NRHM), National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme(NREGS), Intensive Child Development Service Scheme(ICDS), Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Reconstruction Mission(JNNURM), Midday Meal Scheme and the Prime Minister’s 15-points programmes.

Speaking on the occasion Mr.Bajarbaruah said that the campaign was important as it will sensitize the people about the various programmes of the government. He added that all the programmes implemented by the government would benefit the common man and would also pave way for the country in its path for socio-economic prosperity.

On the occasion, Mr.A.H.Scott Lyngdoh, Chairman, Meghalaya State Legal Commission, inaugurated the Exhibition which is a part of the campaign.

Others who spoke on the occasion were Mr.B.P.Domes, Editor, Dongmusa and Mr.B.Narzary, Deputy Director General, PIB.

RECRUITEMENT AT ITBP

The Director General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India invites application from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) Group ‘C’ in ITBP

Interested candidates aged between 20 to 25 years (upper age relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST) and who have successfully completed 10+2 or its equivalent examination may apply for the said posts.

Application duly filled in prescribed proforma along with relevant documents should be addressed to the Deputy Inspector General, SHQ (GWL), ITB Police, Seema Dwar (Indra Nagar), Deharadun, (UA), Pin-248146 on or before 30-10-2006.
