Press Release No. 469/11 DISPOSAL OF CASES SETTLED IN THE LOK ADALAT Shillong, September 15, 2011: The Chief Administrative Officer Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Shillong has informed that 27 cases has been settled in the Lok Adalat held on September 10, 2011 at Court’s Complex of the District and Session Judge, Shillong. The settled cases include 1 out of 39 Civil Cases, 9 out of 46 Criminal Cases and 17 out of 91 Motor Accident Claim Cases. It may be mentioned that the objective of Lok Adalat was to settle maximum number of pending courts in a day to provide relief to those who are entangled in legal issues for many years. |
