MPSC CELL AT JOWAI INAUGURATED

Shillong, September 8, 2011: The Deputy Commissioner, Jaintia Hills District, Jowai, Mr. T Dkhar IAS, was inaugurated on September 7, 2011 the Jowai MPSC CELL in the third floor of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, building Jowai and the function was held in the Conference Hall.

The MPSC cell is set up with a purpose to serve for the benefit of the applicants, like issuing application forms, forwarding them to the main office, Shillong, and conducting Examination in the District. It may also be mention that the applicants can also submit their applications on-line by logging in to the website-mpsc.nic.in or Meghalaya.nic.in.

Speaking at the inaugural function, the Chief Guest, Mr. Dkhar said that setting up of the MPSC Cell is a great blessing for the District and this will be a great benefit for the applicants and the district itself. Besides the MPSC Cell, other demands of the district like MBOSE cell and Blood Blank have also been taken up.

Hon’ble MPSC Member, Mr. W.B. Suchiang, said the need for setting up of the Cell in Jowai is to reduce the burden at the main Office, Shillong and also for the benefit of the applicants of the District. A workshop will also be organised to help the applicants in filling on-line form. He also sincerely appeal the youths applying for jobs not to be carried away with rumours spread against MPSC instead be well prepared for the Exam as well as for the interview.

The JSU and AJYWO president and one of the senior citizen of the district, express their sincere thanks to the Government and the MPSC for their quick responds and setting up of the MPSC Cell and look forward it continues to serve the purpose for the applicants and the district as a whole.

Mr. S.S.Syiemlieh MCS, Officer on Special Duty, MPSC Cell, Jowai delivered a welcomed addressed and Vote of thanks offered by Mr. R.Rathap MCS, Secretary MPSC Shillong. While the function was chaired by Ms. B.L. Pakyntein MCS, EAC Jowai. Districts Officials, senior citizens of the District and NGO’s were present for the inaugural function.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Shillong, September 8, 2011: The Commissioner of Division, Garo Hills Division and Inquiry Officer has informed that the Government has ordered an inquiry into the allegation about secret killing of civilians by the ANVC and the existence of mass graves. If any one has any specific information that would be relevant for this enquiry, the information may be given within 15th September, 2011 to the Deputy Commissioners of West Garo Hills District, East Garo Hills District and South Garo Hills District.
